PEIMOT – HEARTBEATS
Helping parents at-risk to provide their
babies with a healthy and safe home
PEIMOT – HEATBEATS is an intervention program for families in underprivileged communities in Israel with babies under the age of three. It offers a multi-level guidance designed to improve the family life and dynamics at home long-term and create emotional stability for all family members.
- Young parents at-risk in Israel’s low socio-economic areas who are deprived of a support system of family/community are left feeling overwhelmed and alone
- Some of them didn’t experience a healthy childhood themselves and lack basic, healthy parenting skills
- Emotionally stable parents, a functioning home and a safe environment are essential conditions for the healthy upbringing and well-being of a child.
THE PROGRAM
- Highly qualified mentors accompany families for two years
- Home visits and group sessions help the parents improve their knowledge and skills and boost their parenting ability
- Help in connecting with community resources to create a network of support.
