Each year our activity report highlights that it is thanks to you, our dedicated donors and supporters, that Keren Hajessod’s work is making it possible to change people’s lives in Israel. Each year we face new challenges and setbacks, but Keren Hajessod continues to be at the forefront of Israeli society in providing vital and life-enhancing resources to Israel’s most vulnerable people.
What is special about the current report is the story of a group of people who, although they had only just begun to rebuild their own lives after the turbulent years of the pandemic, were immediately ready to mobilize all their resources to bring Jews to safety.
This is a story about all of you, our global family, who helped raise an impressive amount of funds in a short time to support Keren Hajessod’s Emergency Campaign, which provided critical and immediate assistance to Jewish people in Ukraine whose lives were under attack and whose hometowns became places of danger and crisis.
Bringing Jewish Ukrainian refugees to safety and Russian olim to Israel is only one aspect of Keren Hajessod’s work. However, the dedication, zeal and generosity that you have all shown during this incredibly difficult time illustrates the incredible power that makes Keren Hajessod an important institution that is instrumental in making the world a better place. At the same time, it embodies the vision of the founders to create a platform through which we are at the forefront of Israel’s growth and progress.
